Mitchell Gallery Museum Annex and Office to be Closed

We have learned that our location in the MKE Regional Business Park will have to be vacated by November 30, 2022. This has been our business office, museum annex and storage site since moving there in 2016 from the decommissioned E Concourse and multiple other locations. It is too early to know what the full impact of this change may have on the Friends, but it is almost certain to require a major effort to find a replacement and relocate. The expense will likely be substantial. This unfortunately comes at a time when we have been experiencing rising operating costs.

As we learn more information and the situation becomes clearer, we will keep you updated. Although this may not directly affect the museum inside the terminal, there could be indirect implications for day-to-day operations of the Friends organization.

We urgently need to find a suitable new location for our office, archives, and storage. Please contact us if you know if any possible sites for relocation.
